I am a Spanish dance artist and yoga teacher currently based in Bilbao.
I trained at the Real Conservatorio Profesional de Danza Mariemma in Contemporary Dance. In 2012, I moved to London, where I graduated First Class BA Honours in Contemporary Dance from Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance. I found my love for Yoga short after finishing my degree and decided to train as a 200h multi-style Yoga teacher with Green Yoga International, school registered with Yoga Alliance US and Yoga Alliance UK.
I have worked for and with several artists involving different artistic practices. I have danced in pieces by choreographers Pedro Berdäyes, Lizzi Kew-Ross, Amanda Gough, Wayne Mc Gregor, Stephanie Schoeber, Poliana Lima and Jon Ugarriza, among others. Besides, I was able to take part in interdisciplinary projects including Music and Visual Arts, such as Soundpainting.
Currently, I develop my own choreographic practice. Concepts come from diverse fields such as Literature, Semiotics or other Arts. As an emerging creator, my work tends to be narrative, visual and metaphorical. However, I am trying to find my way into the deconstruction of these tools and looking for a language of my own. The Basque Government funded the short piece "Room", premiered in 2019, though I had created other works before.
The fact that I usually question everything and that I am curious about life in general has derived into a desire to train my mind alongside my body. I hold a Degree in English Language, Culture and Literature (UNED) and I have extensively worked as an English teacher as well. In addition, before moving to London, I also passed the first two years of the Degree in Audiovisual Communication, which I hope to continue in the future in order to apply filmmaking skills to dance filmmaking.
